Primal Plunge Air Tub: Care and Maintenance Guide

Proper care of your Primal Plunge Air Tub is essential for ensuring optimal performance, user safety, and long-lasting water quality. Please follow the guidelines below for routine upkeep, organized by frequency.

1. Weekly Water Refresh

To maintain water freshness and dilute the concentration of contaminants, perform a partial water change once per week.

  • Procedure: Drain approximately 25% to 50% of the water from the tub and refill it with fresh, cold water.

  • Optional Water Treatment: As an alternative to weekly water changes, you may use the official Primal Plunge Water Treatment Kit (sold separately). When our water cleanser is used according to the directions, the interval between full water changes can typically be extended to once per month.

2. Monthly Deep Cleaning & Filter Service

Once per month, perform a comprehensive deep cleaning of the tub and the filter to reset the environment and remove any accumulated buildup.

  1. Drain the Tub: Completely empty all water from the tub.

  2. Clean the Filter: While the tub is draining, remove the filter cartridge from the IceFlow chiller. The filter can be washed by hand with warm water and mild dish soap, or placed in a dishwasher for a cleaning cycle.

  3. Clean the Tub Interior: Using a soft sponge or cloth and a mild dish soap, thoroughly wipe down all interior surfaces. Pay close attention to corners, seams, and crevices to ensure they are free of any residue.

  4. Rinse Thoroughly: Once the tub is clean, rinse the interior completely with fresh water to remove all soap residue.

  5. Refill: Refill the tub to the appropriate level with fresh, cold water.

IMPORTANT: To protect the integrity of the tub's material, do not use harsh chemicals, bleach, or abrasive scrubbers/brushes. Use of such agents can cause permanent damage, shorten the tub’s lifespan, and may void the product warranty.

3. Scheduled Filter Replacement

To maintain maximum filtration efficiency and ensure optimal water hygiene, the filter cartridge must be replaced periodically.

  • Replacement Interval: Replace the filter every four (4) to six (6) months, or more frequently if the tub experiences heavy use.
